🏥 I work in China’s AI Hospitals. This will surprise you!

The “Chang’an AI hospital” concept refers to China’s pioneering Agent Hospital project developed by Tsinghua University (often connected with Beijing Tsinghua Chang Gung Hospital), which uses autonomous artificial intelligence agents to simulate patient care, diagnosis, and medical training. [1, 2, 3]

What is the AI Hospital?

• Virtual Care System: It is a fully immersive virtual environment run by large language models where AI doctors and nurses treat simulated digital patients rather than real humans. [1]
• Scale and Speed: An AI doctor agent can process and diagnose thousands of virtual patient cases in just a few days—work that would take human physicians years to encounter. [1]
• High Accuracy: The framework (featuring frameworks like MedAgent-Zero) achieves over 93% accuracy on medical licensing exam benchmarks. [1]

How It Works in Practice

• Tsinghua Chang Gung Integration: Real-world implementations and pilot systems expand into physical facilities like Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, utilizing localized AI models (such as DeepSeek or custom medical LLMs) to handle hospital workflows. [1, 2]
• Core Functions: AI assists with intelligent triage, pre-diagnosis dialogue and medical record generation, digital admissions, predictive alerts, infusion management, and automated pathology slide analysis. [1, 2]
• Main Purpose: The technology is primarily built to safely train medical students, simulate public health responses, and speed up clinical decision support without risking human harm. [1]
