
๐ COLLINGWOOD OPP REMOVE TWO IMPAIRED DRIVERS FROM OUR ROADWAYS

(Collingwood, ON) โ Members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two motorists with impaired driving following separate incidents in the Town of Collingwood.
On October 3, 2026, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers located a single vehicle in a ditch near Highway 26 and Osler Bluff Road. Officers conducted a well-being check on the driver and, during the investigation, grounds were formed to initiate an impaired driving investigation.
As a result, Christopher McKenna, 44 year old, of Clarksburg, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired โ alcohol and drugs
- Failure or refusal to comply with a demand
On October 5, 2026, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program in the Town of Collingwood. During the RIDE initiative, officers formed grounds to begin an impaired driving investigation.
As a result, Alison Peters, 31 year old, of Collingwood, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired โ alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired โ blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.
In addition to the charges, each driverโs licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle were impounded for seven days.
