TWO ARRESTED FOLLOWING DRUG TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION IN COLLINGWOOD

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – Members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the Huronia West OPP CSCU, have arrested two individuals following a months-long drug trafficking investigation.

On June 12, 2026, CSCU officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the Town of Collingwood. The warrant was executed without incident, and two individuals were taken into custody.

As a result of the search, officers seized:

  • 1004.8 grams Cocaine
  • 643g grams Cannabis
  • 107.3 grams MDMA
  • Bulk Canadian Currency – $12,930.00
  • Digital Scale
  • Packaging Material
  • Stun Gun
  • Bear Spray
  • Bulk Unmarked Cigarettes
  • 3 Cellphones

As a result of the investigation, the first accused, Darren DEVANE, 28-years-old of Collingwood, was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon

The second accused, Makayla BROWN, 22-years-old of Collingwood, was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood at a later date.
