For Joanne, this home represents so much more than downsizing. After walking the Camino de Santiago and later dealing with a life-changing workplace injury, she began rethinking what she truly needed from life, home and happiness.
With the support of her daughter and son-in-law, Joanne was able to create a mortgage-free tiny home on family land, giving her a fresh start, financial freedom and a deep sense of peace.
Her tiny house has been beautifully designed for comfort, practicality and future-proof living. Inside, there’s a full-size kitchen for baking and cooking, a spacious bathroom with a luxurious bathtub looking out into the garden, a clever loft bedroom, mudroom, laundry, plenty of storage and even a separate cosy living pod with a wood fire. That second pod also gives Joanne flexibility for the future, as it could one day become a downstairs bedroom if needed.
