🏒 Dale West | Mike Jackson Collingwood Blues DOMINATE the Buffalo Jr Sabres 6-0

It was another night of dominance for the Mike Jackson Collingwood Blues as they stopped Buffalo Jr Sabres 6-0 in front of over 750 at the Eddie Bush Memorial in Collingwood.

In just his second start of the season Kaison Wang stopped 25 shots for his first OJHL shut out the Blues have two shutouts in 5 games. Wang had a couple of battles on the night. One was making a handful of sharp saves, the other was staying sharp as there were long stretches with no action. At one point in the shots for the second period were 14-2 for the Blues.

Heath Bogart opened the scoring for Collingwood , his second straight game with a goal. It was the only marker of the period.

The Blues went to work in the second at grinding Buffalo down. Brayden Stumpf game the Blues a 2-0 lead just before the eight minute mark finishing off a pass from Will Hughes.

Collingwood went to work after the mid period pause and piled in three more to finish the period. Ryan Gosse tipped in a Will Hughes shot, Ethan Neller won and end to end race and fire the loose puck through the goaltender, and Wyatt Jinman snapped a wrist shot from high in the slot to give the Blues a 5-0 lead through 40.

The third period had two fights as frustrated Buffalo players wanted something to take home … both of them lost the battles and an instigator penalty for the second fight sent the message that the ref was finished with that tactic.

Jinmans second on the night just before the final minute closed out the scoring as he drove the net and buried a backhander under the cross bar.
