Temporary Lane Restrictions – King Street East – Beginning November 2, 2026

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of upcoming temporary lane restrictions.

The restriction is scheduled to be in place at the intersection of Grey Street and King Street East (Highway 26) in Thornbury beginning Monday, November 2. This is to allow Arnott Construction to complete work related to the Bay Street East Reconstruction project on behalf of the Town. The lane restrictions will be in place intermittently for approximately 4-6 weeks. Temporary traffic signals or traffic control personnel will be in place for the duration of the work.Β

Additionally, the Georgian Trail crossing at Grey Street North is expected to be rerouted late in the week of October 26 to avoid the active construction zone. Trail limits will be denoted with temporary barricades and fencing. Users are reminded to be aware of construction equipment, obey instructions from workers and to avoid the area if alternate routes are available.
