Ally Vitally shares “The Enchantment of the Strawberry Moon”

    Sharing is SO MUCH APPRECIATED!

The first full moon of the summer is making its entrance in June also known as the “strawberry” moon.

The full moon will arrive on June 21, 2024 at 9:08 p.m. E.T.

This year’s strawberry moon is unique and more meaningful as it coincides with the summer solstice, a time of year with deep spiritual meaning for many cultures around the world who have celebrated the event over the years through hosting traditions or ritual ceremonies.

In a small village nestled between rolling hills and vast fields of strawberries, the inhabitants eagerly awaited the arrival of the Strawberry Moon. This annual event held a special place in their hearts, marking the peak of the strawberry harvest and a time of joyful celebration.

Young Elara, a girl with bright eyes and a curious spirit, had always been fascinated by the tales her grandmother told about the Strawberry Moon. According to legend, the moon glowed a brilliant shade of pink on this night, casting its enchanting light over the fields and making the strawberries glow with a luminous hue.

As the moon began to rise, Elara found herself unable to contain her excitement. She dashed out to the fields, joining other villagers who had gathered there. Lanterns were lit, casting a warm glow across the landscape, and the air was filled with the sweet aroma of ripe strawberries.

Elara’s eyes widened as she looked up at the night sky. The moon, as if responding to the villagers’ anticipation, began to take on a soft, pinkish tint. Gasps of wonder echoed through the crowd. Elara’s grandmother, a wise and kind woman, placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.

“This is the magic of the Strawberry Moon,” her grandmother whispered. “It reminds us of the beauty and abundance of nature, and the importance of coming together to celebrate it.”

Throughout the night, the villagers sang, danced, and shared stories under the moon’s gentle light. Elara and her friends scoured the fields, picking the glowing strawberries that seemed to radiate with the moon’s energy. Each berry tasted sweeter than ever before, infused with the magic of the moment.

As the celebration came to an end, Elara felt a deep sense of gratitude. The Strawberry Moon had not only illuminated the night but also brought the community closer together. It was a reminder that even in the midst of the ordinary, there were moments of extraordinary beauty waiting to be discovered.

With a heart full of wonder and a basket full of strawberries, Elara gazed up at the sky one last time before heading home. She knew that the magic of the Strawberry Moon would stay with her, a cherished memory to carry through the seasons until its return the following year.
