Arts & Crafts Walk Returns to The Blue Mountains on July 6, 2024

    Sharing is SO MUCH APPRECIATED!

The Blue Mountains Public Library’s Arts and Culture Council (ACC) and the Town of The Blue Mountains are delighted to announce the much-anticipated return of the Arts & Crafts Walk, set to take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024.

From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., residents and visitors are invited to stroll through the charming villages of Clarksburg and Thornbury, where an array of booths and displays will feature handmade artwork, unique crafts, and artisanal goods. This event offers an opportunity to discover original pieces, meet local creators, and support the local arts and culture scene. Participants will enjoy live music, delicious food, and more.

“The art walk is so special,” says Beverley Smith, Chair of the ACC, “Not only because of the fun of strolling from house to house and artist to artist, but also because of the beautiful walk along the tree-lined street linking Thornbury and Clarksburg. This event is met with such enthusiasm and joy from one end to the other.”

Volunteers, including the members of the Library Board and Town Council, will be set up along the route to distribute physical maps and to help with navigation. A free shuttle service will also be available.

“I look forward to walking both sides of the whole route again to visit our talented artists,” says Mayor Andrea Matrosovs. “It’s a tremendous showcase of both visual and performing arts and the beautiful walk between Clarksburg and Thornbury.”

The Arts & Crafts Walk is free to attend. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a curious visitor, or a family looking for a fun day out, this event is not to be missed.
