The seasoned Boomerang players have shared stages with many well-known artists. Our dynamic horn section rekindles great melodies from Stevie Wonder to Van Morrison to Wilson Pickett and more, and the rhythm section honours the best of studio musicians, from Motown to Stax Records. Our singer, Gary Diggins, grew up near the Detroit River and brings the spirit of soul music that floated on the Motor City airwaves.
A regular feature at well-known festivals, Boomerang played the Wasaga blues festival in 2023, as well as the Collingwood and Thornbury outdoor summer music series, all to packed audiences. The band recently played a sold-out show at the 200 seat Grace Tipling theatre in Shelburne to rave reviews.
Boomerang is proud of its musical pedigree. Our members have shared a stage with Bob Seger, Stevie Wonder, David Clayton Thomas, Bare Naked Ladies, Ronnie Hawkins, Iggy Pop, Shania Twain, Sly and the Family Stone, and the official Blues Brothers review.
Band members individually have also joined with several Las Vegas and Rock ‘n’ roll revival show bands across the US and Canada, plus gigs in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and at Carnegie Hall.
