Collingwood OPP Investigating Multiple Overnight Vehicle Entries in Residential Area

Sharing is SO MUCH APPRECIATED!

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – Members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a series of overnight vehicle entries in the vicinity of Gregory Avenue and Cranberry Trail East in the Town of Collingwood.

Police are currently aware of at least three incidents where an unknown suspect entered vehicles and stole miscellaneous personal items, including sunglasses and loose change. More incidents remain unreported, and police are encouraging those individuals to come forward.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a face covering, baseball hat, long sleeve shirt, and distinctive plaid shorts.

The OPP is asking residents in the area to check their residential security systems and doorbell-style cameras for any suspicious activity during the early morning hours of July 30, 2025. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit information online at www.crimestopperssdm.com.

In addition, the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP encourage residents and businesses to register their security cameras with the CAMSafe program at www.camsafe.ca. This voluntary registry assists police in identifying potential sources of video evidence during investigations. Police do not have live access to registered cameras, and participants retain full control, providing footage only upon request.

The Collingwood OPP remains committed to community safety and encourages residents to report suspicious activity promptly.
