Midhurst/June 19, 2026 – The County of Simcoe is proud to recognize three local employers for their outstanding achievements in advancing workplace inclusion through the Simcoe County Local Immigration Partnership (SCLIP) Workplace Inclusion Charter. These recognitions were presented during this year’s Workforce Connect Conference, where employers, community partners, and industry leaders gathered to strengthen workforce development across the region.

As part of the Workplace Inclusion Charter’s tiered recognition program, the County celebrated the following organizations:

  • Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care – Gold Achiever: Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is a 321-bed specialized academic hospital that provides critical psychiatric, addiction, and geriatric care, while also operating Ontario’s sole high-security forensic mental health units for individuals involved with both the justice and mental health systems.
  • Empower Simcoe – Gold Achiever: Empower Simcoe is a multi-service, not-for-profit organization, providing a wide range of supports and community initiatives for individuals of all abilities and their families across Simcoe County. Established in 1953, the agency is committed to empowering people to lead meaningful and inclusive lives in our community.
  • Hörmann Innovative Door Systems – Gold Achiever: Hörmann is a globally recognized, family-owned manufacturer renowned for premium residential, commercial, and high-performance industrial doors as well as loading technology and more. Hörmann has one state-of-the-art factory in Oro Medonte as well as three sales centers in Western Canada. Hörmann’s Canadian division incorporates the legacy of TNR Industrial Doors, solidifying their reputation as the North American leader in custom-built, high-performance rubber doors and CHILLFAST freezer doors.

Introduced by the SCLIP, the Workplace Inclusion Charter is a voluntary, no‑cost initiative that provides employers with practical tools, measurable commitments, and recognition opportunities to help build more welcoming, diverse, and equitable workplaces.
