    FATAL COLLISION IN WASAGA BEACH UNDER INVESTIGATION

    (WASAGA BEACH, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious collision in the Town of Wasaga Beach that has left one person deceased.

    On Saturday, June 28, 2025, at approximately 8:15 p.m., officers from the Huronia West Detachment of the OPP responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian. The collision happened on River Road West between Village Gate Drive and Bells Park Road.

    As a result of the incident, the pedestrian, a 73-year-old from Scarborough, is deceased.

    Simcoe County Paramedic Services and the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team assisted Huronia West OPP in the response and investigation.

    The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or video footage of the incident is asked to contact the Huronia West OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
