Meet Floppy
Floppy is a 1 year old male Medium Mixed Breed who weighs 19 kilograms.
Hi there,
I’m Floppy! I’m a one-year-old handsome boy, weighing in at a perfect 40 pounds-just the right size for couch cuddles and outdoor adventures. I’m still a young pup, and I’ve got so much love to give… I’m just waiting for the right family to come along and help me feel safe enough to share it. I can be a little shy and fearful around new people, I am just a young guy afterall. The world can be a bit overwhelming for me, so I’ll need a calm and patient home with adults or older kids (12+), where things are steady and predictable. If you understand canine body language and have experience with fearful pups like me, even better!
I’m what they call a “flight risk,” so I must go home with a secure collar and a safe, fenced yard would be a big plus. But don’t worry-I’m not all nerves! Once I warm up, I’m full of playfulness and joy. I’ve done really well meeting other dogs at the shelter, and I LOVE buddy walks. When I get to play off-leash with another dog, I get bouncy and happy-it helps me come out of my shell! I need someone who will be patient, go at my pace, and use only positive reinforcement to help me grow. With love, structure, and consistency, I promise I’ll bloom into your loyal, loving companion. Are you the calm, kind-hearted human I’ve been waiting for? If so, let’s meet-I might be nervous at first, but I have a feeling we could be something really special.
My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip. If you want to learn more about me, please come visit the GTHS and speak with one of the amazing Adoption Counsellors! The GTHS is open for adoptions from 12pm-4:00pm, every single day of the week and they would be thrilled to introduce you to me! I can’t wait to meet you and am looking forward to starting my new life with my new family!
