Frankie Malloy: More good news: Floppy found a forever home!!! Yeh!!!
Meet Bruno (Underdog)
Bruno (Underdog) is a 5 years, 9 months old male Large Mixed Breed who weighs 45 kilograms.
Hello, world!
My name is Bruno, and let’s get one thing straight-I am incredibly handsome (obviously). But there’s more to me than just my good looks. I am loyal, silly, loving, and affectionate. I am also a big fan of snacks (seriously, I LOVE snacks). When I love you, I LOVE YOU. Oh, and I absolutely adore car rides and sitting in chairs. If it fits, I sit!
Now, let’s talk about the not-so-simple part. I need to be honest with you because adopting me will be different from a typical adoption. I am a big, strong boy -95lbs- and when I am scared or unsure, I have a very loud (and let’s be real, intimidating) bark. The truth is, I am a nervous and fearful dog. Not just shy, but truly afraid. I don’t trust new people right away, and I will react by barking and lunging to make you go away and to feel safe. The team here at GTHS has been working with me, and I am trying so hard to be better. I have a tailored behavior plan, special equipment, and a ton of post adoption support including a consultation and additional training sessions with our Behaviour Specialist.
Because of my needs, there are some things I absolutely require in my future home:
-No children
-No cats
-Another dog? Maybe-but it would have to be an amazing match.
-A patient, understanding and committed adopter who has a great deal of experience and who is willing to provide consistent training and help me to manage my reactivity and my triggers
-A calm and structured environment to help me build trust and continue my progress
If you are interested in adopting me, the first step is to chat with Jill, our adoptions coordinator at jill.peters@gths.ca or 705.445.5204 ext 226. She will go over your application, and we will have a conversation about me. Adopting me won’t be a quick process-I need time to learn to trust you, and you need time to learn all about me. But I know the right person is out there, and when we find each other, it’s going to be amazing.
My Underdog adoption fee is $100 and includes my spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip. If you want to learn more about me, please come visit the GTHS and speak with one of the amazing Adoption Counsellors! The GTHS is open for adoptions from 12pm-4:00pm, every single day of the week and they would be thrilled to introduce you to me! I can’t wait to meet you and am looking forward to starting my new life with my new family!
Everyone at the GTHS is rooting for me, and I know my new home is out there. Maybe it’s yours?

Meet Patty
Patty is a 2 years old female Domestic Shorthair/Mix cat who weighs 3 kilograms.
Hi,
I’m Patty! I’m a gentle 2-year-old lady who’s still learning that humans can be pretty great. Right now, I’m a little shy and not quite sure about being petted-but I do enjoy calm company, quiet moments, and of course… treats! The kind folks here are helping me build my confidence every day, and I’m making slow but steady progress. I just need a patient and understanding home where I can feel safe and loved at my own pace. I get along well with other cats, and I’d do well with kids 8 and up-as long as they know I need a little extra time to feel comfortable. If you’re the kind of person who believes love is built with time, kindness, and maybe a few treats, I might be your perfect match. Let’s take it slow-I’m worth the wait!
My adoption fee is $185 and includes my spay/neuter, internal and external parasite treatments, up to date vaccinations and an ID microchip!
Shy Purrs,
Patty
