(TOWN OF WASAGA BEACH, ON) – Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two individuals from Hamilton with drug related charges.
Huronia West/Collingwood Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) initiated a drug trafficking investigation in Wasaga Beach, Elmvale, and Collingwood area. After several weeks of investigating CSCU were able to form grounds and identify the occupants of a residence in Elmvale suspected of selling cocaine and fentanyl.
On August 8, 2025, members from the Huronia West and Collingwood CSCU teams executed a search warrant at the residence.
Investigators seized fentanyl, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, oxycodone, a sum of cash, cell phones, 9mm ammunition, a sight for a handgun, a bullet proof vest, and paraphernalia related to drug trafficking. The two accused individuals were arrested and charged for Possession for the Purpose of trafficking cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, oxycodone, and fentanyl, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime. One of individuals was also charged with fail to comply with probation order and fail to comply with release order. Both accused were held for a bail hearing.
