(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a two-vehicle collision in Springwater Township.
On February 17, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Huronia West OPP with assistance of Springwater Fire and Simcoe County EMS responded to a report of a serious collision involving two vehicles on County Road 27 at Flos Road 8.
As a result of the collision, the driver in one of the involved vehicles was transported to a local hospital and later transported to a Toronto hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other person in the same vehicle was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver and occupants in the other involved vehicle were released at the scene after being assessed by EMS with no injuries.
A section of County Road 27 was closed between Train Avenue and Flos Road 7 for several hours while OPP members trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
