Today we are touring one of the most special homes I have ever seen, a 2,170 square foot mountaintop house, and the fourth home designed and built by Glendon Good.
Sitting in Sedona, Arizona and nicknamed “Red Tail Cliff” this lot was deemed unbuildable by anybody who looked at it when Glendon first set eyes on the property back in 1998. But over the course of the next 20 years he would built a home at the base of the cliff, he built a studio at the base of the cliff, and began hiking to the top of the mountain every day to figure out how he could get a house on top of the mountain.
After a lot of planning, Glendon began construction on this one-of-a-kind home. One of the many challenges with this build was figuring out how Glendon, his family, and his guests would be able to access the house once it was completed. He solved this problem by building a tram that takes you to the top of the mountain (it’s a 3 minute and 15 second ride, and it is very smooth.
I want to thank Glendon for opening his awesome home up for all of us to see. Also thank you to Chloe for making the trek up to Sedona with me to shoot this house and then spending a week in post-production to ensure we tell this story properly. Real Estate Report
