The AEROFORCE history dates back to the early 90s. “Tyler” Bob Gregory and Paul Gayne brought together an Aerosmith tribute band for true Aerosmith fans.
The AEROFORCE mission has always been to faithfully reproduce the spirit of Aerosmith in look, sound and atmosphere. This has provided a fun and entertaining experience for every Aerosmith fan for over 2 decades.
AEROFORCE have toured across Canada and the Eastern United States many times and have amassed a number of career highlights. There have been many festivals and shows with the likes of Vince Neil (Mötley Crüe), Night Ranger, Kim Mitchell, April Wine and Blue Rodeo.
There have been a number of Aerosmith CD release parties over the years as well. Most recently for the ‘Music From Another Dimention’ CD, where Aerosmith’s own record company hired the band. On their behalf, the band has given away hundreds of Aerosmith CDs, tour shirts, videos and even a few Gibson Les Paul guitars (autographed by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry). The band has also played several Aerosmith after show parties, special guests such as Jackyl and Cheap Trick, that will never be forgotten by the people who were lucky enough to get in to see them. Steven Tyler himself described them as “those cool guys from Canada”

During the officers 49 hours of patrol on area waterways between August 8-12 checking 48 vessels resulted in ten marinersbeing charged and two others being warned for the offence of having insufficient lifejackets aboard. Fourteen operators were educated and twelve were charged for Canada Shipping Act violations and one person was educated and one was charged for liquor violations. Three vessel operators provided breath samples on the roadside screening device resulting in two 3-day drivers licence suspensions in accordance to the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines. A focused enforcement patrol beachfront shoreline along Tiny Township for watercraft speed and equipment resulted in four charges to vessel operators. (See attached vessel speed poster)
Educating Young Mariners to Wear Their Lifejackets
The “I Got Caught Wearing My Lifejacket” water safety program has been in place on OPP patrolled waterways for many years and continues to enjoy great success in educating young mariners in North Simcoe the value in having and wearing your lifejacket while on the water. This week some youngsters visiting from Germany got caught and got their reward! (See attached OPP submitted photograph)
The Detachment Auxiliary Unit took the opportunity of the amazing weather and sunset to take in some marine training so members can assist the marine unit in their duties aboard the OPP patrol vessel Thomas P. Coffin. (See attached photographs)
Remember, if you see a possible impaired operator “Make the Call” and dial 911 and help prevent a marine tragedy and always have an eye to the sky for changing weather conditions.

We are thrilled to share an exciting new chapter for Canada’s first dedicated professional indoor pickleball facility, which not only introduced the world’s fastest growing sport to the Canadian pickleball community, but also added a courtside proshop and licensed lounge for players to enjoy spectating with friends and family, adjacent to the courts. Swing has held the Ontario Provincial Championships, the first Special Olympics Pickleball Event, several Pickleball Canada Coaching Certifications, many tournaments and tournament preparation instructional clinics, and still holds court as North America’s first indoor GLOWBALL facility!
Swing has grown into far more than just a place to play – it has become a home for new friendships and lifelong bonds. The club has been a haven of connection where players support each other through life’s changes, celebrate milestones and rally together for causes. Since opening its doors amid Covid 19 lockdowns and provincial restrictions, the club has been a vibrant hub for pickleball enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, offering a welcoming community, state-of-the-art courts, and an unmatched playing experience. Andrea’s dedication, passion and pioneering spirit built the foundation for private investment in the Canadian pickleball community, and her legacy will always be a part of our story.
Effective today, August 15th we are proudly transitioning the club ownership and are delighted to welcome Bret Shepley, who brings the vision, energy and academic resources to take the club to exciting new heights.
