Midhurst/August 21, 2025 – The County of Simcoe is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 13th Annual Newcomer Recognition Awards. Community members are invited to submit nominations recognizing outstanding individuals, organizations, and businesses that have made meaningful contributions to the lives of newcomers in Simcoe County. Nominations will be accepted until September 19, 2025.
Over the past 12 years, the Simcoe County Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) has hosted this event to celebrate the outstanding contributions of community leaders and champions who take decisive action to enhance the lives of newcomers in Simcoe County. Individuals and/or organizations/businesses can be nominated for the following categories:

· Service Excellence
· Small Business Owner
· Educator Excellence

· Newcomer Inclusive Service Delivery
· Immigrant Artist
