OPP INVESTIGATING TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING A DUMP TRUCK
(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Paramedic Services and local fire departments, responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision in Springwater Township.
On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at approximately 6:40 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to Highway 26 near Strongville Road in the Township of Springwater for a two-vehicle collision involving a motor vehicle and a dump truck.
As a result of the collision, the motor vehicle driver, a 28-year-old resident of the Town of Wasaga Beach, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the dump truck suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the OPP Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.
