Police Investigating After Motorcycle Fails to Stop in Collingwood

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – On Thursday, July 30, 2025, at approximately 9:03 a.m., an officer from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting general patrol in the area of Beachwood Road in the Town of Collingwood when a traffic-related incident occurred involving a motorcycle.

The officer observed a black Harley Davidson motorcycle being operated at a high rate of speed and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The motorcycle failed to stop and was last seen travelling southbound on Fairgrounds Road in Clearview Township, where it was observed disobeying a stop sign and passing vehicles in a dangerous manner.

The investigation remains ongoing. No further information will be released at this time.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was travelling in the area of Beachwood Road, Fairgrounds Road, or 33/34 Sideroad around 9:00 a.m. on July 30 is asked to contact police. Investigators are particularly interested in any dash cam footage that may assist in gathering evidence related to the driving behaviour observed during the incident.
