Collingwood, ON [08 April 2025] – The Town of Collingwood is revitalizing Old Village (Legion) Park, beginning with the introduction of a beginner cycle pump track as part of Phase 1 upgrades. This exciting new feature will offer a safe and fun space for riders of all ages and abilities to build cycling skills, balance, and confidence.
This marks just the beginning of enhancements planned for the park. Future phases will bring even more improvements, including an intermediate pump track for more experienced riders, a new washroom facility, and upgraded parking to better support park visitors. The timing of the intermediate pump track will depend on community interest, fundraising efforts, and budget approvals.
Community members are invited to an Information Session on Tuesday, April 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 250 Hume Street, Curling Club Lounge (Second Floor).
The session will be drop-in style — no formal presentation. Design boards will be displayed around the room, and attendees can chat with park designers and staff to learn more and provide feedback on the proposed features.
If you or someone you know is interested in this exciting new addition to the park, come by and share your thoughts!
For those who cannot attend the session on April 15th the proposed designs will be posted to the project page after the session at engage.collingwood.ca/old-village-legion-park.
