Storm Chaser Jordan Hall
A series of devastating tornadoes recently ravaged the southern United States, particularly impacting Oklahoma. On Monday night, a powerful tornado tore through Barnsdall, Oklahoma, a small town of about 1,000 residents located north of Tulsa. The tornado caused extensive damage, destroying homes, toppling trees, and downing power lines. Local authorities reported at least one fatality and multiple injuries, with emergency services conducting several rescues of people trapped in the debris. The storm system also prompted rare tornado emergencies in the region, emphasizing the severity of the event (Yahoo) (FOX Weather).
In addition to the destruction in Barnsdall, the broader storm system impacted multiple states with strong winds, large hail, and additional tornadoes, contributing to widespread devastation. This severe weather outbreak follows a series of tornadoes earlier this spring that have left many communities in the Plains and Midwest in a state of recovery (Wikipedia) (ksdk.com).
On May 26, 2024 a strong #tornado tore along Highway 60 east of Birch Tree, Missouri causing damage to multiple homes and powerlines.
We let this tornado cross the road directly in front of the vehicle as debris rained down on the car.
