It’s Friday night. I’m walking to ‘The Eddie’ to watch my favourite team, The Collingwood Blues.

My Blues cap is on as well as my coveted #8 Hudon jersey. Dylan Hudon was our amazing, all star captain for several years and successfully led the Blues to the Canadian national Jr. A championship last season. He’s at the University of Guelph now and we miss him dearly.
Lots of new players this year. They’re working hard, led by our Captain, Marcus Loughheed!
As I enter the hallowed hallway of Eddie Bush arena, the atmosphere is electrifying! Volunteers abound, selling 50/50 tickets, raffle target pucks and Blues merchandise.
I ‘waft’ in (à la Fred Flintstone), on the heady aroma of arena popcorn. It is always great to see the smiling faces of local fans, eagerly anticipating another win.
Excited kids are everywhere! I grab a Collingwood Brewery beer and head behind the Blues bench (always a ‘Go Blues Go’ fist prop to Casey, Rob, and Big John en route).
Just in time for O Canada. Our polytonal fan chorus isn’t professional sounding but very enthusiastic. Finally, the puck drops at centre ice.
The boys are looking great; Speed, puck handling, and GRIT! Hooray, another victory! Way to go boys!
We are SO PROUD of this successful organization! SO PROUD to be part of Collingwood. SO PROUD to be at THE GOOD OLD HOCKEY GAME, with the Mike Jackson Collingwood Blues at Eddie Bush Arena.
See YOU at the game!
