1998 may have been the most ’90s’ year of the 90s!
With defining moments like the breaking of the Monica Lewinsky scandal and President Bill Clinton’s subsequent impeachment; Titanic became the first film to hit a billion dollars at the box office and nearly swept the Oscars; and the erectile dysfunction medication Viagra was released, providing low-hanging joke fodder for years to come. TV was bringing the 90s energy too, with a slew of new shows about teenage angst, hot-button issues, and counting down the best music videos.
