Let’s Talk about What’s Possible when there are housing choices for everyone!

Collingwood, ON [23 April 2026] – The Town is excited to launch the What’s Possible for Collingwood Housing Campaign, an initiative driven by the Council-approved Affordable Housing Master Plan (AMP).


Collingwood should be a place for everyone. That means a town where there are enough housing options so people who live, work, grow up, and age here can live in a home they can afford. We also want people to move here, invest here, and bring their talent to Collingwood! That’s what the What’s Possible for Collingwood campaign is all about.

“Council has been clear that expanding housing options for our community is essential to Collingwood’s future,” says Deputy Mayor Fryer. “The ‘What’s Possible for Collingwood’ campaign is an important step in continuing to build on helping our community understand why a broader range of housing is needed and how, working together, we can create a town where more people can call Collingwood home.”

This campaign is intended to inspire everyone, not just those directly impacted by the housing crisis, to consider what having a wider variety of housing options could mean for the community and to understand clearly why it is so important.
Over the next two years, the Campaign will:

  • Illustrate why a variety of housing options benefits everyone in the community.
  • Educate and inform by dispelling common myths and misunderstandings about housing and growth in general.
  • Share real stories from local workers, families and older adults who struggle to find housing to fit their needs.
  • Inspire constructive conversation about housing and growth in Collingwood through events and engagement opportunities.
  • Share the Town’s progress towards housing initiatives and solutions.
  • Invite public participation. This solution relies on everyone’s involvement!
