    12th Annual Collingwood Art Crawl Coming September 21st

    Collingwood, ON [05 September 2024] – The Collingwood Art Crawl returns for its twelfth year on Saturday, September 21st from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Downtown Collingwood. This self-guided tour through the historic downtown will feature over 30 host venues showcasing visual artists, musical performers, and much more! Discover and celebrate the depth and variety of art, music, and creative talent from in and around the region.

    Named one of the Province’s Top 100 Events by Festivals & Events Ontario, Collingwood Art Crawl invites you to take part in this annual celebration. Find original artworks in paint, ink, photography, textiles, and mixed media, while experiencing original music performances spanning rock, folk, funk, and jazz. The Downtown Venue Tour is generously sponsored by the Jen Scholte Real Estate Team.

    A new Collingwood Art Crawl “Unmissable” taking place at the Simcoe Street Theatre, “From Canvas To Collection” is a presentation that focuses on the ins and outs of collecting visual art. Brought to you in collaboration with RBC Wealth Management Dominion Securities, our experienced panel of art professionals will discuss tips and trends when it comes to collecting visual art – for those just starting out to those who have been collecting for years. Panelists will also examine overall art collecting and the preservation, maintenance, and inclusion of personal collections in one’s estate plan. This is a free, forty-minute talk with a short Q&A to follow. We welcome all who are interested in attending however, seating is limited.     A must-see presentation – Art Xpress is back! We are thrilled to bring together this live artmaking event for young and emerging artists for its second year at Art Crawl. Artists will show off their creativity as they create a piece of artwork in just 20 minutes, at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. respectively. During each 20-minute lightning round, the artists will be asked to create original works inspired by the music being played. This must-see event, also sponsored by RBC Wealth Management Dominion Securities, will take place at Tremont Square, just east of the Collingwood Public Library.

    Registered artists and musicians will be featured on the Collingwood Art Crawl Online Gallery. Get a glimpse at participants in advance by checking out their individual profiles, current works, and highlighted performances.
