(TOWN OF WASAGA BEACH, ON) – Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged five individuals with drug related charges.
Huronia West/Collingwood Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) initiated a drug trafficking investigation after two suspected overdoses at an address in Wasaga Beach. After several weeks of investigating CSCU were able to form grounds and identify the occupants of the residence suspected of selling cocaine and fentanyl.
On May 8, 2025, members from the Huronia West and Collingwood CSCU teams executed a search warrant at the residence.
Investigators seized fentanyl, cocaine, psylocibin, a sum of cash, three cell phones, stolen identifications from vehicle entries, and paraphernalia related to drug trafficking. The five accused individuals were arrested and charged for Possession for the Purpose of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl and were all released with a future court date.
