(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – Members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a theft that occurred at a local business in the Town of Collingwood.

On July 21, 2025, at approximately 7:54 p.m., two male suspects entered the Home Depot located at 10 High Street in Collingwood. The suspects stole approximately $3,600 worth of merchandise, including a cart full of Moen shower faucets and a garden pickaxe, before leaving the store.

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying one of the suspects involved. He is described as a male with a brown complexion, approximately 25 to 30 years old, 5’8″ tall, weighing around 225 lbs, with short black hair and a short dark moustache and beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing:

    –      Blue shorts with white trim

    –      Black shirt with “NEWYORK” in cream lettering on the front

    –      Black ball cap worn backwards with a blue peak

    –      Black fingerless glove on his left hand

    –      Black and grey running shoes

Both suspects are believed to be involved in a series of similar thefts across the region, including other locations within the detachment area and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). A related incident occurred as recently as June 26, 2025, in Collingwood, where over $12,000 worth of merchandise was stolen.
