County funds expanded access to barrier-free healthcare for marginalized communities

Midhurst/January 30, 2025 – In response to the growing need for alternative healthcare options for those facing financial pressures, the County of Simcoe has stepped forward to fund Compassionate Care Without Barriers (CCWB) which will support in expanding their hours of operation.

Located at Trinity Anglican Church in Barrie, CCWB provides barrier-free, all-encompassing health care services for acute and chronic conditions, primarily to the unhoused and marginalized populations, including refugees and newcomers. This initiative is supported through the County’s Social & Community Services division.
