Hi, I’m Mimi – your gentle, loyal new best friend.
I’m a 7-year-old sweetheart with a calm heart, a soft soul, and a deep love for routine, cozy spots, and being close to my people. If you’re looking for a quiet, affectionate companion to share your days with, I might be your perfect match. Most days, I’m easygoing and happy to simply be near you. I love laying at your feet, especially with a cool fan blowing nearby. I’ve even been known to splash around in water for fun – a shallow creek or a kiddie pool is my kind of heaven!
I’m gentle, quiet, and very well-mannered. I already know “sit,” “down,” and “come,” and I’m always eager to please, especially if there’s a little treat involved (I’m polite about it, I promise). I settle into new homes quickly and sleep soundly through the night. I prefer soft dog beds or curling up at the foot of the bed-especially if there’s a fan nearby.
I get along well with other respectful dogs and have even started to play with my foster sibling after some slow, thoughtful introductions. I’m also living peacefully with a kitty friend – we even do nose boops! When I go for walks, I’m pretty relaxed, though sometimes I get excited when I see bunnies or birds and might pull a little. I love to sniff the world, rub up against bushes, and cool off in the water when I can. I’m strong, so a confident handler helps me be my best self.
I absolutely adore my people and form deep bonds with those I trust. I can be a little shy around new folks (especially some men), but I warm up with a gentle voice and a bit of patience. Once you’re in my circle, though, I’ll be your biggest fan. I’ve had some hard moments at the vet, especially when my feet are touched – it makes me nervous. I’d do best with a kind, low-stress approach for check-ups and grooming, and someone who understands that I need a little extra reassurance in those moments.
I haven’t met kids in my current home, but I think I’d do well with older, respectful ones who know how to give a gentle touch and space when I need it. I’m Mimi – sweet, serene, and ready to love with all my heart. If you’ve got a calm home, a soft bed, and room in your heart for a loyal companion, I’d love to meet you. My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip.
