HURONIA WEST OPP INVESTIGATING SERIOUS TWO-VEHILCE COLLISION NEAR STAYNER
(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with EMS and Fire, responded to a serious two-vehicle collision near Stayner.
On Monday, August 3, 2026, shortly before 1:00 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of County Road 7 and Nottawasaga 27/28 Sideroad in Clearview Township, near Stayner, following a collision involving an SUV and a sedan.
As a result of the collision, four individuals were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. One individual sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre by ORNGE Air Ambulance.
The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team is on scene assisting with the investigation.
County Road 7 remains closed between Nottawasaga 27/28 Sideroad and Highway 26 while the investigation continues. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
