The Town of The Blue Mountains and the Blue Mountains Fire Department remind motorists to drive with caution following the extreme rainfall event on Monday, June 30.

Some roads in The Blue Mountains are flooded or covered in water following the rainfall. Please slow down, drive with caution on all roads in the Town and do not drive on flooded roads. Debris or obstacles may be hidden in the water, which may be deeper than it looks.

According to the Grey Sauble Conservation Area, some areas of the municipality received over four inches of rain in a short period of time during the storm. The Beaver River and Mill Creek are anticipated to meet or exceed their normal spring runoff conditions and will appear very high for this time of the year.
