TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING RELATED CHARGES FOR THREE ATV DRIVERS

(WASAGA BEACH, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged three individuals with impaired driving related charges after a traffic complaint of all terrain vehicles (ATV) driving dangerously on roads.

On February 3, 2025, at approximately 8:29 p.m., Huronia West OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint in the area of Toner Street in the Town of Wasaga Beach. Officers patrolled the area and located three ATVs with two of them being in the ditch. After a brief discussion with the drivers, the officers conducted an impaired driving investigation. As a result:

Evan-James TOMPOROWSKI, 30-year-old of Wasaga Beach, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

The Male was additionally charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Adult Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle

·      Adult Unlawfully Drive Off Road Vehicle on Highway

·      Adult Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence

·      Adult Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance (CAIA)

Austin LAMONDIN, 28-year-old of Wasaga Beach, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

The Male was additionally charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Adult Unlawfully Drive Off Road Vehicle on Highway

·      Adult Fail to Surrender Licence

Jordan HALL, 29-year-old of Collingwood, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

The Male was additionally charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Adult Driving while under suspension

All three accused are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
