The Collingwood Blues closed out their season-opener doubleheader, lighting up the scoreboard in both games.

After building a 6-2 lead through the opening period the Blues opened the flood gates in the third period. Georgetown had avoided the Blues power play for most of the game, giving up one in the first period, but took a penalty late in the second and a handful early in the part of the third to let the Blues run wild.
In the final frame the Blues scored at will on the powerplay as Raiders took a double minor then a solo penalty during the first penalty for a 5 on 3.. Ryan Gosse , Wyatt Jinman and Evan McChesney scored powerplay goals in a span of less than two minutes to put the game out of reach It was McChesney’s first as a Blue and Jinmans second of the game. That put the game out of reach.
The third period was a shooting gallery as the Blues outshot the Raiders 26-5. That helped them give Kaison Wang his first win in the Blues goal, and they chased Micheal Marandola after goal 10.
The Blues outshot Georgetown 68-29.
