Mike Jackson GM Collingwood Blues ventured from the comfort of home ice for the first time this season and showed they can do it on the road as well. Collingwood topped Burlington 6-0 to improve to 3 & 0 on the season
The Blues set the tone early with a 25-9 shot attack, declawing the Cougars by building a 3-0 lead. Jonathon Cirone, Ryan Gosse and Heath Bogart counted for Collingwood.
The Cougars got a chance to get back in the game early in the second period with a 5 on 3 that actually saw Collingwood with the better chances.
The Blues put themselves in the driver’s seat with goals from Ewan McChesney and Ethan Neller. Owen Edwards had a break away save among his 11 saves in the middle period.
Burlington came out flying in the third period and had extensive offensive zone pressure during a 13 shot attack. Edwards put the stamp on his shut out with a handful of sharp saves.
The penalty kill for Collingwood was finally rewarded for the number of chances created over the first three games when Atom Thususkat counted with just over three minutes remaining. The Blue power play was blanked for the first time this season in one of the few highlights for Burlington on the night.
Shots on goal ended up 48-33 for Collingwood.

The Blues host Aurora next Thursday and Buffalo next Friday in week three action
