My name is Adam Harrod, and I am a candidate for School Board Trustee representing Collingwood and Wasaga Beach in the 2026 Municipal Election.
I am a lifelong Simcoe County resident and a parent of two daughters who attend local schools in Wasaga Beach and Collingwood. I attended public school in Simcoe County from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 and have remained involved in our local school communities as a parent and volunteer.
Professionally, I have more than 18 years of experience in municipal government and municipal law enforcement. I currently serve as Manager of the Town of Collingwood’s By-law Services Division and am also a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario.
My professional experience includes budgeting, policy development, public engagement, complaint resolution, service reviews, municipal governance, regulatory services, and preparing reports and recommendations for Council. I have also served as Chair of the Committee of Adjustment and Chair of the Property Standards Committee for the Town of Wasaga Beach.
As a parent and longtime member of this community, I want to help ensure our schools are safe, well-supported places where students can succeed and the people who work with them have the resources they need.
The three areas I am focusing on during the campaign are:
Safe Schools • Strong Education • Responsible Leadership
These priorities include school safety and student well-being, support for effective learning environments, responsible stewardship of public resources, accountability, and meaningful communication with students, families, education workers, and the broader community.
Throughout the campaign, I will be sharing information about my background, priorities, and perspectives on education issues affecting Collingwood and Wasaga Beach.
