❄️ 2026/2027 Winter Parking Restrictions and Resident Snow Removal

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to remind residents that Winter Parking Restrictions come into effect on Sunday, November 1, 2026. In accordance with Town By-law No. 2022-49, overnight parking is prohibited on all Town streets from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Winter Parking Restrictions will remain in effect until April 15, 2027.
In addition, residents are reminded that Town By-law No. 2014-65 prohibits the deposit of snow or ice onto a Town roadway, including the shoulder, sidewalk, walkway, boulevard or ditch, without written permission from the Director of Operations.
Residents are also asked to remove any items from the roadside that could interfere with snow removal, including basketball and hockey nets, boats, trailers and landscaping materials. Stationary waste boxes should be placed at the property line rather than along the road shoulder to give snowplows enough room to operate safely.
Winter parking and snow removal restrictions are necessary to help ensure that snow removal operations can be completed safely and effectively. The Town would like to thank all residents for their cooperation throughout the winter season.
See an Issue? Report it. We’ll take it from there.
As winter parking restrictions and snow removal operations begin for the season, residents are reminded that the Town offers convenient online tools to report issues and concerns.
Issues related to road and sidewalk snow clearing can be reported through the Town’s Online Service Request system. Concerns about overnight parking violations or snow and ice being deposited onto Town roads and other public areas can be reported through the By-law Complaint Portal.
Reporting issues through the appropriate Town channels helps staff respond to maintenance and safety concerns, keeping roads, sidewalks and public spaces safe and accessible throughout the winter season.
Significant Weather Events
In the event that a Significant Weather Event is declared, notice will be provided on the Town’s website. A declaration of a Significant Weather Event is not a notice of reduced level of service or road closure. It is to notify the public that, due to the current or forecasted conditions, caution is to be observed when traveling on roads maintained by the Town of The Blue Mountains. It may take longer than usual to bring the roads back to optimal conditions. Please check Municipal511 for up-to-date road conditions and closures.
