In Episode 26 of Recovery Comes Alive, Joe Tilley welcomes William Bear — a survivor, a person in recovery, a third year Sociology honours student, and the founder of The Sacred Forsaken Foundation.

William grew up in a First Nations community in Northern Saskatchewan. He has survived childhood sexual abuse, addiction, profound loss, and multiple attempts on his own life. He recently faced his abuser in court. He has lost a child. And through all of it he has found a way to keep going.

Today he is 870 days sober and building something for the people who are still fighting to find their way.
