✅ George Watson for Collingwood Council | Experience You Can Trust

Experience That Gets Things Done
Collingwood is at an important crossroads. Growth is happening, major decisions are being made, and the choices Council makes today will shape our community for years to come. I’m running for Council because I believe Collingwood needs experienced, practical leadership — leadership that listens to residents, spends tax dollars responsibly and, most importantly, gets things done.
I bring 15 years of experience as an elected municipal councillor in Wasaga Beach. During that time, I chaired the Public Works and Community Services Committee and helped deliver major projects, including a new twin-pad arena and library — both completed on time and on budget. I also spent years advocating for a new high school and supported initiatives that strengthened the municipality’s financial position without simply putting more pressure on property taxpayers.
But municipal government is about more than building projects. It’s about making sound decisions about growth, development, infrastructure, the environment and the future of the community. My experience as Chair of the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority and on the Simcoe County Planning Advisory Committee has given me a regional perspective on many of the issues facing Collingwood today.
I’m not running to learn how municipal government works. I’m running because I know how to make it work. I’ll bring experience, fiscal discipline and an independent voice to Council — and I’ll work to make sure Collingwood remains a great place to live, work, raise a family and build a future.
