2025 Porchside Festival a Smash Hit!

    Sharing is SO MUCH APPRECIATED!

To all our amazing patrons — thank you!

What an incredible month it has been! Our 2025 Porchside Festival was filled with unforgettable moments, from the joy and laughter shared at our FREE Canada Day family shows at the Collingwood Shipyards Amphitheatre, to the beautiful and intimate performances on porches across Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, and The Blue Mountains, and even one Porchside Plus show on the Collingwood Huronic boat!

We are so grateful to everyone who came out and supported live entertainment in these unique outdoor settings. Your energy, applause, and presence made every performance truly special. Thank you also to our many volunteers who help in so many ways!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our “porch” owners who donated their wonderful spaces, and special thanks to Father Michael Peterson and All Saints Anglican Church for graciously offering us a dry and welcoming indoor venue last night, allowing us to safely present our final show despite the looming thunderstorm.

During the festival we tried to bring to you a very wide range of experiences, to give you the opportunity to see your local favourites and also perhaps try a new genre. We hope you enjoyed them. Special thanks to those who purchased Porchside Passports so they could see them all!

And of course, this festival would not be possible without our incredible Porch Sponsors. Your generosity and support allow us to bring theatre directly into our community in the most meaningful way. You can find a full list of our cherished sponsors here.

On Monday, August 11th, we will be kicking off two week-long drama camp experiences for young theatre enthusiasts to enjoy! Our August Summer Drama Camp welcomes children aged 11-13 to learn new skills, make new friends, and have a whole lot of fun! This time in the summer can drag on so why not come out have some more summer fun in a creative way!

Our (brand new!) Teenage Drama Intensive for ages 14 – 17 will focus on theatre techniques and specialized workshops for teenagers who want to take their craft to the next level. Please read all about our camps below. We still have a few spots available for each of these week-long programs – don’t miss your chance, register your child today by calling 705-445-2200.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be taking a break to re-energize and begin planning for 2026. We will be sending out a survey to our Porchside attendees and hope you will share your thoughts and feedback with us. If you care to share a quote that we may use please email me at [email protected]. While I am away our office will still be open and we will be transitioning to our new ticketing system to better serve you.

Enjoy the rest of your wonderful summer!
