A Message of Gratitude and Farewell from Deputy-Mayor Tim Fryer
To the residents of Collingwood and my cherished family,
After more than four decades of public service to this extraordinary community — eight years on Council and 33 years as a municipal finance resource — I have made the decision, largely for personal reasons, not to seek a Council seat for the 2026–2030 term.
This was not a decision made lightly. The unwavering support I have received from my family and from the wonderful people of Collingwood has been a profound gift, and one I will always treasure. I am truly humbled to have had the privilege of serving alongside so many dedicated individuals who share a deep love for this town.
For the remaining five months of my term, I remain fully committed to my role as Deputy-Mayor and to working collaboratively with Council on decisions that will continue to move Collingwood forward. Public service has never felt like a duty — it has been an honour.
After that, I look forward to staying involved in our community in new and meaningful ways. As so many others already know, giving back is at the very heart of what makes Collingwood such a remarkable place to live, work, and play.
To my family and to every person who has believed in and supported me over the years — thank you, from the bottom of my heart. The successes I have had belong as much to you as they do to me.
With deep gratitude and continued pride in our community,

Tim Fryer
Deputy-Mayor, Town of Collingwood
