The Town of The Blue Mountains is flying the Town Hall flags at half-mast to mark the passing of former employee Aubrey Weir.

Aubrey worked for the former Collingwood Township/Town of The Blue Mountains as a dedicated seasonal employee with the Roads Department for 20 years, from 1985 to 2005. The Weir family also has a strong connection to the Town, having donated a portion of the land on which the original Ravenna Works Yard was built.

On behalf of Council and staff, the Town would like to share its sincere condolences with the Weir family. The flags at Town Hall will remain lowered until Monday, July 27, 2026, out of respect for Aubrey and his family.
