Collingwood, ON [7 May 2026] The Town of Collingwood is pleased to be part of Game On!, a regional online World Cup Esports Tournament, presented by the City of Barrie in celebration of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. The tournament will bring together top-qualifying players aged 14 to 24 from municipalities across Simcoe County for a FIFA/ EA Sports FC showdown.
The competition will feature online qualifying rounds followed by an exciting live, on-stage regional final.The event is presented in partnership with Bradford West Gwillimbury, Collingwood, Innisfil, Orillia, Oro Medonte, Penetanguishene, and Tiny Township, and is hosted virtually by We Got Game, an online interactive gaming entertainment company.
Online municipal qualifier rounds will take place from May 29 to June 1, 2026, with the in-person regional finals scheduled for June 26, 2026, at Five Points Theatre in Barrie, 1 Dunlop Street West.Young players interested in participating are encouraged to register by May 22, 2026.
