(TOWN OF WASAGA BEACH, ON) – Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one individual with drug related charges.
Huronia West/Collingwood Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) initiated a drug trafficking investigation after numerous complaints from the public in relation to an address in Elmvale. After several weeks of investigating CSCU were able to form grounds and identify the occupant of the residence suspected of selling cocaine and fentanyl.
On January 21, 2025, members from the Huronia West and Collingwood CSCU teams executed a search warrant at the residence.
Investigators seized fentanyl, cocaine, an air pistol, and paraphernalia related to drug trafficking. Five individuals were located inside the residence at the time of execution. One individual had two outstanding warrants and was also charged with possession of a schedule I substance.
