The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of an upcoming in-person Public Information Centre (PIC) that has been scheduled regarding the Thornbury Landfill Reclamation project. The PIC is being held to provide an update on the status of the Site Reclamation Plan. The meeting will include a public comment and question period. All those interested in the project are invited to attend. The meeting will be recorded and posted to the project page for anyone unable to attend in person.
Date: Thursday, May 7, 2026 – 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Location: Town Hall, 32 Mill Street, Thornbury
The site is currently used for material and equipment storage related to Town activities, in addition to seasonal storage of boat cribs and trailers. The Site Reclamation Plan will evaluate and specify remediation methods to be undertaken to enable unrestricted future use of the land, but it is not intended to determine what the specific use or uses will be.
