OPP INVESTIGATING COLLISION INVOLVING CYCLIST AND PICKUP TRUCK
Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with paramedic services and local fire departments, responded to a collision involving a cyclist and pickup truck in the Township of Springwater.
On Sunday, August 27th, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to County Road 27 at Bertram Industrial Parkway in the Township of Springwater for a collision involving a cyclist and a pickup truck.
As a result of the collision, the rider, a 41-year-old resident of Springwater, was airlifted to a Toronto area hospital by ORNGE Air with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the OPP Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.
