    TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES IN WASAGA BEACH

    (WASAGA BEACH, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with impaired driving related charges after an officer stopped a vehicle operated by a prohibited driver.

    On July 5, 2025, shortly after 10:00 p.m., Huronia West OPP officers were conducting patrols on 68th Street North in the town of Wasaga Beach. Officers stopped a vehicle after observing the driver to be a prohibited driver. During the interaction, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to an arrest. As a result of the investigation, Jesse PARDON, 39-year-old of Wasaga Beach, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

    ·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

    ·      Adult Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

    ·      Adult Operation while Prohibited under the Criminal Code

    The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Collingwood on August 5, 2025, to answer to the charges.
