The Mike Jackson Collingwood Blues have stretched the winning streak to nine with an 11-1 thumping of the Mississauga Chargers in front of over 900 fans Friday night.
It was evident early the Blues were in charge and when the score was 4-0 before the halfway point of the first it was just a question of a win by how many.
Talan Palmer had two in the first, including one of the teamโs three power play goals when he fired the puck home two seconds into the man advantage. Nathan Omeri, Matthew Zilinski, Johnathon Cirone and Quinn Patton had the other goals in the frame. Frank Lecce had the only Mississauga goal on the night just past the halfway point of the first.

The Blues power play was 5 for 7 on the night, including Trevor Zanutto getting his seventh of the year to make it 6-1 before the midpoint of the game. Brayden Stumpf had his tenth of the year before that.
In the third the Blues continued the relentless attack, adding 18 shots to push the game total to 51 and adding three goals to the game total. The highlight of the period was Harrison McLean getting his first as a Blue following 16 assists that had him in the teams top ten for points without a goal.
Ethan Neller closed out the game with a pair of goals to push his season total to ten and with his assist jumped to fifth in league scoring. The Blues have 4 of the top seven point getters in the league, including league leader Atom Thususka at 28 after assists 15 and 16 tonight.
Owen Edwards gets another win in goal .. he has given up only 13 goals over his 9 and 1 record for a save percentage of .950, his 1.31 goals against average is tops in the league.
