2026 Open Fields Farm Tour Locations Announced

The Town of The Blue Mountains is pleased to announce the participating locations for the 4th Annual Open Fields Farm Tour, taking place on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
The Open Fields Farm Tour gives the public an opportunity to visit four local farms/producers to learn about modern farming practices, meet the individuals who have dedicated themselves to agriculture, and explore the process of bringing food from farm to table. This free, family-friendly event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26.
The participating locations are:
Farmer’s Pantry
788030 Grey County Rd 13, Thornbury
Enjoy old-fashioned fun at the Farmer’s Pantry. With a cedar maze, petting zoo, pick-your-own apples, and more, this location offers plenty of activities for the whole family. During the tour, visitors can meet the animals and explore the farm with Sarah and family.
Georgian Hills Vineyard & Ardiel Cider House

Visit Georgian Hills Vineyard & Ardiel Cider House for a guided look at the vineyard, cool-climate winemaking, the region’s apple history, and the cider-making process. After the tour, visitors can enjoy the atmosphere and explore tasting and retail opportunities.
Oaklane Orchards

Oaklane Orchards is a family-owned and operated farm specializing in high-quality apples, pears and plums. Located in the heart of apple country, the farm features rolling hill views, a farm store and u-pick apples. During the tour, visitors will learn about the apple industry and the work involved in bringing apples from orchard to store shelves.
Valley Ridge Family Farm

Experience a true family farm operation at Valley Ridge Family Farm, a fully equipped equestrian centre and forage operation, alongside farm tours and summer camps. At Open Fields, join the McAllisters and meet the Clydesdale horses, donkeys, goats and more. Learn more about hay-making, animal care, and operations as you explore the farm.
“We have curated four great stops for this year’s tour,” said Mayor Andrea Matrosovs. “We want to thank our hosts for participating and welcoming the public as part of Open Fields. I hope everyone is looking forward to a day of exploration, education and entertainment.”
Open Fields is a free, rain-or-shine event that is open to all members of the public. Visitors are encouraged to wear proper footwear for a day on the farm.
